Description
Glass Desiccator is a glass container holding a drying agent for removing moisture from specimens and protecting them from water vapour in the air. The drying agent such as silica gel or calcium chloride was placed under the porcelain platform to absorb water vapour inside the container. For an airtight seal, you may need to apply a layer of Silicone Sealant around the opening.
A common use for desiccator is to protect chemicals which are hygroscopic or which react with water from humidity.
